I’ve been off social media for quite a while listening to the whispers of my heart. ♥️ After some major changes, & losses, the noise of it was getting so loud I couldn’t hear my own whispers.

I needed some deep reflection & to reconnect with my own heart. During this hiatus I found a need to repurpose not only worthy, tired & worn objects around me, but myself. There are definitely times I feel all of these things & I know I’m not alone in this!

You may notice some subtle shifts in my direction moving forward, still sharing the love of creativity with objects but weaving in the importance of a “re-do” ourselves, creating the life we want & sharing how we reflect this in our own outward creations.

I look forward to taking you alongside me on this journey; an inner expedition of reimagining ourselves while doing the same with our projects. I no longer want to journey alone but find strength in those around me & grow, explore & create together; whatever this looks like.

Living De Novo is an opportunity for a do-over; a second chance to create & live the life we really want & deeply desire. A life refreshed & renewed. This is reflected in our own creative spirit; repurposing, reimagining & recreating not only ourselves, but the the things around us.

What do we have in common with reimagined furniture & home decor?

Reimagining furniture & home decor opens a gateway symbolic to reimagining our own lives. Just like the items we breathe new life into, we also get do-overs. A chance to recreate ourselves any way we choose.

We peel away layers of time until we reconnect with our core . We shed burdens, discarding what no longers serves us & allow our beauty to once again shine through, reconnecting with person we once were, before the world had its way with us.

De Novo means; anew, afresh, over again, second time. Just like furniture & home decor, we can choose De Novo experiences. Living De Novo means we never have to settle & stay stuck. We are always in an alchemical state of becoming a better version of ourselves. Never give up on who you are & who you’re meant to be, no matter how long or how many times it takes. While looking through an old suitcase of my grandparents, I came across this little bottle of perfume of my grandmother’s; now an antique or vintage item. I had no idea it was there. I was surprised it was still easy to open & the perfume smell very much in tact. It was like receiving a gift from beyond from my grandmother. This little bottle of perfume called “Follow Me” will now sit proudly on my bedroom shelf adorned with other objects of her’s; a watch, pin cushion, a little trinket box & more. These items are priceless. I am fortunate to have had my grandmother around well into my 40’s & I think of her often. I haven’t checked to see if this perfume still exists. I wish I knew the back story.

When I think paint pour, I don’t think of elegance. I imagine crafting or painting, but definitely not elegant furniture. This video & piece by ReLove ReStore changes this! But then, everything done by this talented artist is no less than amazing! I think you’ll agree once you see the final look. So beautiful!!
