Happy 2nd day of fall! My daughter and I made a pear cake. Hubby and my son went camping last weekend and brought pears home from a farm stand, so I used those in this cake.

Happy weekend! All of our hydrangea are turning such amazing colors. I clipped two varieties to make the centerpiece. Then used dry branches from a third variety for the sideboard(credenza?).

Happy weekend! A friend recently gave me this table runner and I was so excited to use it for this fall tablescape. I clipped leaves and flowers from our yard and mixed real and faux pumpkins.
The busy-ness of back to school has returned- soccer, scout meetings, volunteering, field trip chaperone duty. Are you in the thick of back to school activities?

Our garage was in need of some organizing! Thanks to StoreYour we finally maximized our space and made room for storage totes (to hold all the tools accumulated over the years from various DIY renovation projects), plus the gear that was laying on the ground. Got my fall mantel decor done today. I picked hydrangea from our yard to use in place of a garland. I didn't work in any purple as I have done in other areas. Maybe I'll tweak it a bit. For now, I am happy with the pumpkins, acorns, pinecones and cloches!

Last week when my sister was visiting, we went to a sunflower farm! We had fun running through the maze with the kids and afterwards we picked flowers to bring home. Then I had fun arranging them.
Both the kids wanted to pick their own bouquets. So cute. 🥰

Had so much fun creating this table with the help from my sis! She is visiting feom out of town.
Earlier in the week we went to the town where part of Practical Magic was filmed! I'll share in stories. Since Practical Magic 2 was filmed in London, I guess we will have to plan a sister trip there!
For this table I was thinking of Sally's botanical shop and the aunt's greenhouse.

🌿There are some things I know for certain: always throw spilt salt over your left shoulder, keep rosemary by your garden gate, plant lavender for luck, and fall in love whenever you can.🧂
