Right after my daughter was born, we built this pergola trellis arbor (it's a bit of everything!) to support our roses. The previous owners had planted a ton of roses! I transplanted some from other areas to this side yard. I envisioned a rose covered walkway. It took some time to train the roses and fill in. But now the pergola bursts with blooms and its a reminder of when our daughter was born 😊 Gotta follow your vision.

Yesterday was 82 but today we will have a high of 57. That's spring for you. Sharing a mimic challenge where we had to copy a picnic scene. My 4 year old really enjoyed this set up. I brought her snacks out & she brought her stuffies 😊 Let me know what you think!

Wishing everyone a happy weekend!
So many of our peonies bloomed this week! They are the Coral Charm variety. I placed some in this old watering can. I had bought it at an antique store. I think the owner had been using it as an ashtray. When I asked to buy it, he seemed surprised haha. But he cleaned it up and sold it to me for $1. I clipped flowers from our rhododendron and placed them in a vintave Ball jar. The rest sort of came together.

Usually my vintage picnic basket holds a stash of magazines, but I dusted her off & brought her out to play!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Here is the olive oil lemon cake recipe! I made this cake as part of a collaboration that I posted last week. You can serve it with ice cream, or whipped cream, berries, or on its own. A little espresso or tea with this dessert would be perfect. The recipe is super easy. I'll post in stories to add in my Recipe highlight too 😊

We have slowly been clearing out an old, large shed and moving outdoor supplies around. Our new shed from has helped us reorganize the yard.
This option is compact, with a slim profile that would even work on a balcony or small patio.
I used for for my potting supplies, but you can store toys or cleaning supplies too.
What would you keep in your outdoor shed?

I always appreciated my mom, but once I became a mom that appreciation grew even more! I miss living close to her.
My husband asked what I would want to do for Mother's Day. I really just want a low key day of doing some projects & hanging with our kids 😊 It's been so busy with Teacher Appreciation, solar system projects, baseball, birthdays etc.
Hope you get to do exactly what you want, whether that is going out for a meal, a movie, a workout, or sleeping in.

Finally hung this plate wall thanks to my mister! Last year I posted about my plan to hang plates here but I couldn't decide if I should do just blue, just green or a mix of the 2 colors. I ended up finding lots of pretty vintage green plates, so I went with the green! 💚What small projects have you finished lately?💚
