This is Keith at Miller Interior Design based here in Seattle, Washington. Your unique personality, your natural and architectural surroundings, and your particular passion for art are my informants for designing your interiors. I creatively steward artistry and craftsmanship with your lifestyle to make your personal surroundings function properly, look beautiful, and feel just like you. At the office we absorb your brand and bring it to life so your company lives what you believe. The work you may uncover in my portfolio reflects each client's singular taste – not necessarily mine, which is the whole point really, don’t you think? You'll also notice not just finished work, but the process in progress as well, so you can better understand what goes into the solutions I can create for you. Working with me is a bit like hanging out with the fun brother in your family...only I'm not the kind to run off to Vegas with your credit card. Stewardship and integrity are hallmarks of my design work ethic. Add to that a wildly imaginative creativity harnessed to a responsible measure of discipline to serve you appropriately, whatever your taste and budget. Leave out pretentions and, while it is serious business investing in luxurious comfort and good design, I make it my priority to help you laugh your way through the challenges of change. I’m an active professional member or the American Society of Interior Designers [www.ASID.org] including a 3-year commitment recently as Washington State's Chapter President. I believe in being a contributing member of this organization because it connects me to a national design community who can keep me accountable to responsible business practices and inform me about how the ever changing workings of this world effect how I serve you. Miller Interior Design is a member of the United States Green Building Council [www.USGBC.org] because we are committed to designing beautiful spaces sustainably. In 1993, I stepped out of the University of Kentucky [http://www.uky.edu/design/] with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Housing and Interior Design. Rich with history, Lexington, Kentucky is a veritable museum of quintessential American residential architecture from the log cabin to today. Studying design there in an accredited 4-year program prepared me for designing well for any kind of style in any home anywhere in the US and abroad. I chose residential design as my primary discipline because I love working with people in their personal spaces. My own experience living in a pleasantly small space with my stunning wife has taught me that carefully and lovingly crafting a beautiful place to rejuvenate makes the stuff of life immeasurably easier to endure. I love more than just about anything to share with you the pleasure and joy good design has given me. The personal approach and inspiring creativity of celebrating residential spaces allows me to be an out-of-the-box thinker for your boutique commercial projects. With my brilliant, efficient, committed and energetic team supporting you, expect productivity to sky-rocket and turn-over rates to plummet because your employees will love coming to work in the spaces we create together. A favorite quote from one of my commercial projects:
“Our staff used to meet clients at coffee shops, they were that embarrassed about our last office. Now they’re bringing in everybody they know, because it’s that cool of a place to be. That’s exactly what I wanted for this company – a really cool place where people want to just hang out. Imagine what I could have done if I were freed to really set Keith loose!”
A dear residential client passed around this great compliment, "Working with Keith, and his exuberant, positive nature has been a sincere pleasure. We know ourselves better for knowing him." Can't wait to do something similar for you. Contact me and let’s make it happen: [email protected]
