I’ve gone a little dark. But while we watch (are we though?) the rich & beautiful rocket launch into space, I’m reminded by my fancy iPhone that last year I was in Milano for Salone del mobile. And it is SUCH an experience. Opening my eyes to just how discerning we all can (and I’d really like to say should) be in the investments we make in our homes, and gathering spaces.
It also set me on a path learning just how many people are creating beauty AND working hard to salvage what has been created for us. 🌏. So often taken for granted by flash and packaging.

If you are ever in doubt of which way to move forward - remember everything old was once new.

Time is experience. Experience is design. And a beautiful space understands that. Old my friends. Old is what we’re searching for. Invest wisely, take your time, and let it patina.

Meanwhile, back home a long time client is finally under construction. If you love your location, your schools, your neighbors, your footprint - there isn’t much reason to box up and scoot - is there? 🚚💨
For this client we’ve updated their entire home, leaving no wall untouched but the general footprint intact. Feels like you could equate it to training at the gym vs a big ol’ makeover. Love what you got. Make it shine. A Cali babe and her Seattle music scene babe. Here you go ✌🏼 🌄 🎶

Meanwhile in Alaska. Not only is it happening it’s beautiful. It’s unique. And it’s lasting.
If you’re going to build do it for you. Don’t look around. Look inside and the rest will follow. And breathe. You’ve got to allow yourself time for the details to be. Ya know? I do … I think. 😉interiors

We just threw our hat in the ring for consideration as this year’s best suite design. The .expo will announce the selected design this November in London.

In the early 1900’s, Spencer and Julie Penrose were philanthropists in the American West. Their vision was to build a hotel of dreams in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

On Windstar Cruises’ Star Legend, LSI designed a concept that celebrates the legacy of the Penrose family in the American West while elevating the sailing experience onboard the small luxury cruise line. Our goal was to integrate custom details from the resort with intricacies of hospitality design all the while enhancing the guests’ sailing experience.

The Penrose’ were inspired by their own steamship sailing to Europe and in doing so decorated the Broadmoor Resort in a way that shared the colors, patterns, gild and antique furniture found along their travels.

Inside Star Legend’s suite 500, you will find, in gilded gold frames of course, archived photographs of the resort celebrating their rich legacy. In addition, we recreated the Broadmoor’s own suite carpet design. Curated a collection of custom fabrics, designed a wall covering inspired by the resort.

This project is initiated fleet-wide on and includes The Sea Island at Sea suite which showcases The Sea Island Resort in Sea Island Georgia.

This project took a team and was made possible with the support of
