Needles and hooks are offered in several materials. We offer group and private classes, a wide range of books and magazines, as well as supplies for spinning and needlepoint.

A cute new sample has entered has entered the shop!

Local designers n a t a l e e has the perfect felted bag pattern called The Legume Tote and Tyler Smith made the pinto size out of Cascade Yarns 220 in the color Olive Oil and Black,

The Legume Tote is a felted bag inspired by the classic LL Bean Boat and Tote bags. It comes in four sizes: Lentil, Peanut, Pinto, and Garbanzo. It is knit bottom up starting with a flat base panel and then knit in the round. Straps and optional pockets are seamed before throwing it in the washing machine for the felting to do its magic. Once felted, there is also an option to add a zipper.

Debbie will be in the shop during the Flock weekend (7/31-8/2) to welcome new fiber friends to Seattle and into Acorn Street Shop. If you are going to visit Acorn, it’s got to be during one of EPIC pop-ups.

Here at Acorn we LOVE yarn and sharing our passion with others. We have a larger variety of yarn and are shelves are full of trusty staple yarns as well as some incredible local fibers. Some of those incredible local folks are:

We are so excited to welcome .makes.things to Acorn Street Shop for a pop-up on July 11th and 12th! Oh my goodness these pieces are stunning. 😍

Here is a little about me from Ang:

Hello! I’m Angela of Ang Makes Things. I call Seattle home, and as a typical PNW resident, I love to hike with my cat, forage for mushrooms, paddle board, and if you couldn’t already tell, I love to make things :)

I learned how to knit when I was a child, but didn’t pick it back up until around 2019 when I was badly burnt out from my biotech job and desperate for a hobby to survive the dreary winters of Seattle.

And then the pandemic hit, and I started having a LOT more time at home to cultivate my intensifying obsession with knitting, crocheting, and fiber arts in general! And as a serial hobbyist...I ended up exploring many other activities, including bullet journaling, plant care, and most recently, ceramics!

And here I am, a little more than a year after taking my first wheel throwing class, trying to share my art with you all. Thanks for joining me on this journey, and I can’t wait to see where this craft takes me!
