It’s a late post, but I needed the reminder that my feelings can inform me but they aren’t the final say.

One of my favorite quotes of all time is from Rilke- “Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final.”

A gentle reminder as we shift into autumn and the great wind down.

It isn’t goodbye, it’s see y’all out in markets and pop ups. My Seattle Restored pop up is ending tomorrow and my, how bittersweet it is to make the move into a new studio.

I’ll have to do a post soon about the lessons I’ve walked with because I have some hot takes on having a physical retail space. For now, come visit today and tomorrow and enjoy 20% the inventory we have in the pop up, so I don’t have to move it on Saturday afternoon hehe.

As always, I am so grateful for everyone who has supported me behind the scenes, came to the launch, and has found Good Olfactory along the way.

XO,
Flavia

Alright y’all! Part 3!!!!

Check out part 1 and 2 in other videos 🙌

I built little toppers for my market table for when it’s in a 8’ configuration. I tend to use this layout for my markets at the front of my tent because I’ve found that it’s been easier to attract passerby’s with a beautiful layout at the towards the front vs a walk in layout.

I used 2’x2’ pre cut pieces of very thin plywood, applied trim to the edges and microcemented that. There are some gaps between each topper that I plan to hide with a runner and would easily be solved with a longer panel.

I drive a tiny car- and I pack it to the brim so I couldn’t fit a larger panel in for this specific but you can easily make improvements on my design here.

The only thing left is to make her show ready for Kirkland Uncorked tomorrow ✨

Part 2 of my folding table upgrade for my pop ups. Full disclosure- I could have done a number of things differently for a nice clean finish- don’t come after me please!!!!! 😩

Lessons learned:

1. Mask off the area where your Velcro will go so you can get a very crisp microcement line. Apply the Velcro after. This might seem obvious but it wasn’t as I was too excited to try this.

2. Use a plaster spatula or trowel or whatever that tool is for a very clean finish. I knowwwww the hand application doesn’t apply the smoothest finish but I can sand it down now and it’ll be gorg. I did this part project in a matter of 20 minutes and I didn’t feel like leaving my shop to get extra materials.

3. The point of my proj was to create flexible and lightweight options so I can change my market set up as I feel like it. I read and considered all the great feedback and yes- I think a wood topper (that I’ll microcement) will look so good because I usually use a front layout for my booths with 2 4’ tables- the gap between the two tables needs to be concealed- the toppers will do that.

I hope you guys are inspired! What a fun and easy way to upgrade the market set up.

I love a good and I really love elevating my pop up and market experience. The main challenge I’m always facing is- is it portable and is it lightweight enough to fit in the backseat of the little corroli poli.

So after many months of scheming, I decided to upcycle my 4’ folding table with some pole wrap and Velcro. This literally came together in 45 minutes and was the easiest.

I’m microcementing the top for a more elevated finish in the next video. So follow along!

Oh- and I’ll definitely post a learning and lessons video soon because this was my first table and I know I already should have done this a little differently.
