2026: 5 flops and counting

Imagine me- renting a beautiful house for THE shots of the product I’ve been RDing for 2 years only to realize that the product name is trademarked and I cannot actually release the products because the boxes have that trademarked name on it. Devastating and a stupid, expensive mistake.

I’m so grateful for my business- it’s beyond one of my greatest sources of joy AND this year has taken everything out of me. And I let it- and my relationships have suffered. I know I need to make a change with how I scale but it’s hard to imagine how I do that with bills, labor costs and rent for the studio

I freaking love YULIYA | Seattle Tattoo Artist and how talented she is. She ran a giveaway and I won- and because I hated how I felt in my body this day I didn’t post her amazing work. I hate when lack of confidence prevents me from enjoying little pleasures like this.

The literal tears I cried- in the scheme of things it’s just a box right? Wrong! I opened these mid June during my third busiest month I’ve ever had after, having had almost zero days off from launching the pop up. This couldn’t have come at a worst time for my headspace.

My worst launch ever. I think I sold 2 of Good Pearl and 0 Good Summer. Part of me wasn’t excited to launch these and I shouldn’t have- I wasn’t passionate about them and I learned a hard lesson. Don’t do something unless you do it with your chest. Not the most expensive flop this year but still it feels like I cheated my business. That being said- anyone want a free Good Summer candle 🥰

Me looking at a tree from my studio and seeing one orange leaf. Move over papaya and pearl and get yourselves ready for our fall drop. I’ve debated calling her the “Rich Aunt” collection because she really is that girl.

Until then- we’re cozying up with a year found cozy favorite Good Fireside Room + Linen Spray. She is divine on sheets. I obviously took my bottle from home for this shoot 🤭.

It’s a late post, but I needed the reminder that my feelings can inform me but they aren’t the final say.

It isn’t goodbye, it’s see y’all out in markets and pop ups. My Seattle Restored pop up is ending tomorrow and my, how bittersweet it is to make the move into a new studio.

I’ll have to do a post soon about the lessons I’ve walked with because I have some hot takes on having a physical retail space. For now, come visit today and tomorrow and enjoy 20% the inventory we have in the pop up, so I don’t have to move it on Saturday afternoon hehe.

As always, I am so grateful for everyone who has supported me behind the scenes, came to the launch, and has found Good Olfactory along the way.
