Good morning! Wanna see a fun before and after? This was a home that was about to go on the market and the realtor reached out to get a fresh look created for the kitchen and dining spaces. I took out the wall dividing the two spaces and brightened up the overall look. For prospective home buyers, these renderings help demonstrate the potential of dark, dated spaces. For me, these before and after are incredibly satisfying to create. Who doesn’t love a before and after that only takes days to see??

Hello out there! Our past 6 months have seen a lot of change. In May my husband John and I welcomed our daughter Quinn into the world. I’ve taken time off since then to embrace my new role as Chief Operations Officer of the household (aka stay-at-home mom), but if you know me, I can’t sit still for very long before I start dreaming again. So... I have some exciting news... but I’m not going to tell you until January 😏 In the meantime, I want to focus on reconnecting with you and highlighting some of my very favorite projects from the past year.

So... what is a Virtual Remodel? In essence, a Virtual Remodel is an artist’s rendering demonstrating the potential of a home, as shown in this before and after. To create a Virtual Remodel, we’ll meet at the project to discuss your goals, take measurements and photos for reference, and then I get to work rendering your dream home in 3D. For this home, the existing kitchen was dark and dated. The homeowners were getting ready to sell, so rather than investing thousands into a remodel, we rendered their kitchen and printed the result to display at their open house. Well hello there! It's been a while since I've posted, so I wanted to give a quick update. As you may know, around this time last year I transitioned out of offering interior design services and began offering Virtual Remodels, which in essence are an illustrative rendering showing the potential of a home. Since the transition, my Virtual Remodels have helped real estate brokers sell dated homes, interior designers illustrate concepts to their clients, and have helped homeowners communicate with contractors on their remodel projects. It's been an absolute blast working in this new realm and the transition has led to meeting many new professional friends across a variety of industries. As anyone who runs a business may relate, making big changes can be intimidating, so I can't express just how grateful I am for your support along the way. Thank you, and I'm so excited to see what the next year will bring.

I used to kill every plant I bought home, but I loved having them around so I just kept buying them. I’ve slowly found low-maintenance species that live well in our house, and have learned how to gauge the symptoms of too much/little water/sun. It’s taken time but it’s been so worth it! Lately I’ve been absolutely loving the process of propagating plants, like this cut I took from a fiddle leaf fig I almost killed, then (miraculously) managed to rehab over the course of about 3 years. Some tips if you’d like to try it out... start by looking online for how to propagate the type of plant you have. Typically you can cut just above a leaf with sharp scissors, then put the stem in water next to a window (with similar light as the plant you cut it from) and then just let it do its thing. Some recommend adding root powder, but I’ve rarely had issues propagating without it.
