R90 Lighting was excited to join the Meeting Professionals International Washington State Chapter's Experience-First Events: Creating Meaningful Attendee Journeys at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue!

As a Marketplace vendor, we had the opportunity to connect with fellow event professionals and hear from industry leaders about creating more intentional, attendee-centered experiences through programming, environment, technology, and design. Also, thankful for the MPI shout-out as a Marketplace Sponsor Spotlight!

The program included insights from Tracy Thornton, of Meydenbauer Center, and Sean Ewell of Projection Presentation Technology - MPIWSC President, followed by a panel moderated by Jay Cox of Climate Pledge Arena. The conversation brought together Kayte Olsufka of Museum of Pop Culture (MOPOP), Holly Switzer, Monae Swain of the Seattle Aquarium, Andrea Lambrecht of Butler Events, Amanda Khor of Blue Ink, and Robert Smith of Blue Danube Productions, sharing perspectives from across Seattle’s event, venue, attraction, and creative communities.

We also enjoyed connecting with our fellow Marketplace vendors, including TPN, One Pro AVL, Red Element Studios, Meydenbauer Center, Mayflower Park Hotel, Field Arts & Events Hall, Evo3 Marketing, Flora Grand, and John Chen, author of Engaging Virtual Meetings, along with so many other event professionals in the room.

Thank you to MPI Washington State Chapter for bringing the event community together, Meydenbauer Center for hosting, and everyone who stopped by the R90 Lighting table to connect with Jesse Fletcher and Harley-Michelle Arkush!

Selfless Plug: You may know R90 Lighting for concerts, tours, and festivals, but that’s only one side of what we do. We also support some of Washington’s largest corporate organizations, with three major annual All-Team Meetings coming up back-to-back this October at SCC. We can’t always share those projects publicly, but our lighting and production work reaches a pretty diverse mix of stages, spaces, and audiences.

Last week we had the honor and absolute pleasure of providing truss, lighting and support for the Skrillex show at Gasworks park. The event was a full day event of B2B music from a beautiful roster of artists.

Produced by AEG with Connors & Co. Events, Inc. at the helm we welcomed back our friend Manu Mouton and the design team from Justice to bring this epic experience to life.

With Harley-Michelle Arkush as project manager, Maryalice W**d as lighting lead and support from Kimmy Hartman, Timothy Reel, Julian Watkins and Kevin Riddle we provided:

100 Blinders
80 Paladin Panels
46 Geyzers
10 Foggers
and a 53’ trailer full of truss.

And don’t forget over 70 gallons of fog fluids…

Along with Pyro spectalar and audio from FM Systems and Stages Northwest the results were nothing short of magic.

R90 Lighting was back at The Gorge Amphitheatre for Insomniac Events Beyond Wonderland PNW festival, providing the lighting rigs for the Mad Hatter's Castle and Caterpillar's Garden stages!

The stages were designed by the brilliant Erik Mahowald of Bending Lite Productions and the stage headers and scenic were designed by the kazoo-enthusiast himself, Jeremy Jones. The Castle LD was James McKenna on his trusted ChamSys MQ500M and the Garden LD/VJ combo was the ever-talented Jayson Esguerra on the grandMA3 Full.

This marks the sixth year that we've been the lighting support for this iconic festival and we couldn't be happier with the outcome for this year's build.
2026's designs really took advantage of a wide range of our inventory:

Mad Hatter's Castle:
Lighting Lead: Maryalice W**d
Lighting Techs: Dwight Upton and Eugene
[40] ROBE lighting MegaPointe
[52] Robe Spiider
[58] CHAUVET Professional Color STRIKE M
[104] ACME Lighting Pixel Line IP
[48] Elation Lighting Sixbar 1000IP
[4] Elation Paragon M
[24] ADJ Encore LP7IP
[5] Hazebase FAB

Caterpillar's Garden:
Lighting Lead: Alex Hicks
Lighting Techs: Matt Milliner and Hannah Olsen
[16] Chauvet STRIKE Array 2
[24] ADJ Encore LP7IP
[66] GLP - German Light Products JDC-1
[35] Robe Pointe
[2] Elation Artiste Picasso
[4] Antari F-5 Fazer

Big thanks again to Insomniac and Bending Lite for having us out again!

As always, it takes a village. We wouldn't be able to pull these gigs off without the hard work and dedication of our warehouse team back home. Thanks, all of you!

We had the absolute honor and pleasure to work with Sam Minkoff and the SE Productions team to design, engineer and deliver the coveted ceremonial Superbowl rings to our hometown hero's the Seattle Seahawks. In a short 4 month time frame we had the challenge of designing and executing a ring delivery concept that had never been done before.

The event included 3 phases:
An entry hallway to a 360 degree bar and lounge
An elegant dinning hall where we dropped dinner, beats and some rings.
And a final show room stage where Metro Boomin kept us partying till the end of the night.

For those that know me personally... you know I can't resist a challenge. Especially when it's something that's never been done or attempted. When Sam told me he wanted to figure out how to lower the rings onto the dinner table, we said "challenge accepted!" then we found out that it wasn't just the players and coaches who get rings... there are 224 rings. 6 53' trailers, 160 points, 224 wireless fixtures and 5 days later we can now say challenge completed.

Along the way we also broke another record... special shouts out to GLP - German Light Products and the new series of Nexus lights. If you haven't gotten a chance take a look, it's a really cool product. This event is currently the record holder for simultaneously running 224 Nexus fixtures.

And of course we couldn't have done any of it without the support and hard work of our shop staff! Thanks for pulling weekends and overtime to keep us going.

R90 Lighting was proud to partner with Campfire Collective to illuminate the reopening of Seattle Union Station's Grand Hall.

By blending modern lighting technology with the timeless beauty of this iconic landmark, we helped create an unforgettable atmosphere that celebrated both the building's rich history and its exciting future.

From elegant architectural highlights to immersive event lighting, every detail was designed to showcase the grandeur of one of Seattle's most treasured spaces.

A huge thank you to Campfire Collective for the opportunity to collaborate on this incredible project.
