✨ Big Changes, Bright Future: A New Chapter for Woven Treasures ✨
Over the past year, Woven Treasures has been proud to bring handwoven rugs and global traditions to Fremont. Unfortunately, the timing was against us — with the city tearing up Fremont Ave, removing parking, and even covering our storefront in scaffolding, our visibility and foot traffic disappeared. Despite our best efforts, Woven Treasures was forced to close before it had a real chance to shine.
But this is not the end of the story. The developers who purchased the Wallingford Galleries (formerly Rugs of the World) building have postponed their project for three more years. And thanks to the support of our long-time partner from Oregon, Gallery 45, the Wallingford location will remain open and stronger than ever.
This means that while Woven Treasures’ Fremont doors have closed, our rugs, traditions, and spirit live on at Wallingford Galleries. With new management, new products, and a renewed commitment, the Wallingford store will continue serving Seattle with the world’s finest handwoven rugs for at least the next three years.
We want to thank everyone who visited us in Fremont, supported us during construction, and followed our journey. Your encouragement means the world. 💙
This is more than survival — it’s a fresh start. Expect new collections, new stories, and more reasons to fall in love with rugs all over again at:
