We are Sebring and Highlands County's oldest florist. In business since 1950, Hobby Hill Design is still family owned and operated by the McDermott family along with an amazing design team. Our goal is to offer the freshest, most creatively designed flowers for our Highlands community.

🌿 Garden Week is coming! 🌿

September 8–13, Highlands County is celebrating all things garden—and you definitely don’t have to have a green thumb to join in! 🌸

Whether you’re a plant person, a flower person, a backyard gardener, a houseplant collector, or just love being outside, there’s something for everyone. 💚

And we’re joining in at Hobby Hill! 👇

🌸 Bouquet Bar | Tuesday–Friday 8:30am–4pm & Saturday 8:30am–12pm
Come in and be your own florist! Pick out the flowers that make you happy, and we’ll wrap it up for you. 💐

🌱 Hydro Plant Workshop | Friday & Saturday, 9am–11 AM
Pop in while you’re downtown and learn how to set up and care for a hydro plant. It’s the perfect little Garden Week activity!

And when you’re finished, we suggest popping right across the street to Faded Bistro & Beer Garden for a nice lunch surrounded by their beautiful garden. 🌿🥗

Every flower shop needs a little magic, and we are lucky enough to have ours. 💐

Jonnie is so much more than a designer — she’s a key part of our team, our Flower Family, and the heart of what makes Hobby Hill feel like Hobby Hill. From bringing beautiful ideas to life to somehow making the floral magic happen day after day, we truly couldn’t do this without her. 🤍

We’re so thankful for her talent, her heart, her creativity, and all the laughs she brings along the way.

This weekend, some of our friends said goodbye and laid their loved one to rest. We’re so thankful they trusted us to be part of such a deeply personal moment and to create flowers that felt like a reflection of the life they were celebrating.

We love when flowers can be more than just flowers—when they can tell a story, capture a little piece of someone, and help say what our hearts sometimes can’t put into words.

To our friends, thank you for trusting us with something so incredibly special. It’s an honor we don’t take lightly. ♥️
