General information

Our products are made from parawood. Parawood is also called the rubber tree. The rubber tree can reach a height of over 80 feet. When the tree is 5-7 years old, the sap is harvested for latex used in rubber production in the same way maple trees are tapped for maple syrup. After about 25 years of producing latex, the tree is then harvested for its lumber and another tree is planted in its place. This wood is prized in the manufacture of furniture because of its dense grain, minimal shrinkage, and attractive light color. Being a completely renewable resource, parawood furniture is very eco-friendly.
