Today is the last day that LCF will be open for retail sales. 10 am - 5 pm. We still have some fabric, patterns, bag hardware, etc available at discounted prices.
The last 14 years have been wonderful and we thank all of you for your support, friendship, laughter, knowledge and so much more.

Starting Monday October 27, our remaining inventory will be priced as follows:

Fabric $4 per yard (1 yd. minimum cut)
Patterns $2 Each
Panels $2 Each
All other items 50% off (books, wool, notions and whatever else we can find)
Display items will also be available. Price as marked.

Cash or Checks are greatly appreciated instead of credit cards.

Please be reminded that as of September 2025, outstanding gift certificates are not valid.

Sunday, November 9, will be our last day, UNLESS we are sold out prior to that date. Don’t wait to stop in!

Happy October!
How can it possibly be October? We will be open on Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Monday, October 13. (Also known as Columbus Day and Thanksgiving in Canada.)

Thank you to everyone who has come to our Retirement Sale and given us so many warm wishes for a happy retirement. We truly appreciate all of your kind comments and all of your support over the last 14 years.

There is still fabric left for you to enjoy and to add to your stash. Beginning Monday, October 6, EVERYTHING will be 40% off. Regular store hours.

All of the remaining fabrics and notions need a good home! We do not have a definitive closing date but expect it to be the beginning of November, unless we sell out earlier.

We are still accepting credit cards but strongly encourage you to pay with cash or check so we don’t incur the credit card fees.

Our longarm quilters will continue to pick up quilt tops and drop off completed quilts.

A Heartfelt Farewell from Log Cabin Fabrics

After many wonderful years of sharing our passion for quilting with you, we have made the bittersweet decision to retire. It has been an incredible journey, and we are so grateful for the friendships, the creativity, and the endless support we’ve received from our amazing customers.

Join us for our Retirement Sale! Whether you’re looking for fabrics, patterns, or notions to complete your next quilt, now is the time to get them at incredible discounts. Everything must go! All fabric, quilting supplies, and store merchandise will be on sale as we prepare to say goodbye to a chapter of our lives that we hold dear. Come early and often for the best selection!

Retirement Sale - Beginning Thursday, August 14, everything in the store will be 25% off. That includes fabric, patterns, kits, wool, notions, thread…. Everything!

Gift Certificates - As of 8/1 we will no longer offer Gift Certificates for sale. Outstanding gift certificates will be honored until 9/15. After that date all gift certificates will be void. No exceptions.

Special Orders - All special orders currently in the store waiting to be picked up will not be discounted. Please pick your items ASAP. No additional special orders will be taken.

Block of the Month programs – All remaining kits for all BOM are ready. Please pick up ASAP. If you would like your BOM shipped, please contact us.

Very important --- Please consider using cash or checks instead of credit cards. Credit card fees to merchants are outrageous and we would very much like to stop paying them.

Machine service through Gloversville Sewing Center – the last pick up by GSC will be August 27. Machines will be delivered to LCF September 10. Please pick up your machine promptly.
We will have some our shop samples for sale. Take a little piece of Log Cabin Fabrics home with you! These must be paid for by check or cash only.

We want to express our deepest appreciation to each of you for your trust, encouragement, friendship and for allowing us to be part of your quilting journey. It’s been a joy to serve you, and while we’ll miss the day-to-day interactions with you, we know our fabrics and memories will live on in your creations.
