Friends, we get a lot of folks who come to us and say, "There's nothing on TV! The weather is too unpredictable to plan anything right now! I'm so bored!" Well now, folks, do we have a solution for you: BOOKS! Movies! Magazines! Audiobooks! All for free, and all from this magical place called Your Public Library! No subscription fees. No crowded venues. No motion sickness or jet lag. Just you, a cozy space of your choice, and the adventure or learning experience you've been looking for.

"But how is that possible, Librarian Person?"

Ok, not magic... but very near enough! It's called a Library Card!

If you are 10-years-old or older (minors 18 and younger require a guarantor/guardian/parent), come to the library circulation desk with a state issued ID and some form of proof of current residence (electric bill, phone bill, basically any official correspondence that has your name and address on it that has been mailed within the last billing cycle). Fill out the application. Wait for the Librarian to add your information to the system and verify that your Library Card is entered correctly and working in the system. Collect your spiffy new wallet and key ring cards. Voila! You just became a master of time, space, and a multiverse of worlds to explore. (And here you thought we just checked out books.)

With an active Seneca Free Library card you also gain access to our resources on Hoopla, Libby, MyLibro, and Flipster. Ebooks, streaming shows and movies, magazines, audiobooks and more, and all of that without even leaving your couch!

Maybe it really is magic?

Lose your card? The card you have look like it went through the laundry and garbage disposal before falling in the fireplace? Not a problem. For just $1.00 and the time it takes us to work our keyboard wizardry, we can get you a replacement no problem. (Just be sure to warn us if you've been using any of the apps before we change cards so we don't goof up the login credentials!)

Cards are good for one year. Renewal is fast and easy on your sign up anniversary. It really is that simple, and, honestly, who couldn't use a little more simplicity in their life? Don't delay! Get signed up today!
