🚨🤯 Y’ALL!!! WE ARE OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT!!! 🤯💎

Dogwood Farm Gem Mining has SOLD OUT at the South Carolina Bigfoot Festival, and we are absolutely BLOWN AWAY!!! 😭🙌

We always bring enough gem mining inventory to last ALL WEEKEND, but y’all showed up TODAY and wiped us OUT in ONE DAY!!! WHAT?!?! 🤯💙

Unfortunately, we were scheduled to be back tomorrow, but we’ve run out of supplies and won’t be able to return. We are SO sorry to everyone who planned to see us tomorrow!

Grandma picked up a rock wherever she went. Friends brought her rocks. Grandpa brought her rocks he found plowing. Soon their front yard on Loy Prairie in Watson Township was bordered by rocks. She loved the rocks she placed in their front yard.

All of their grandkids walked by those rocks. We walked on top of those rocks. We squished bag worms on those rocks. We loved Grandma’s rocks.

Pink rocks. Grey Rocks. Speckled granite rocks. Grandma loved all kinds of rocks. Rocks from the fields. Rocks from the creek. Rocks from her grandchildren’s hands. They were all beautiful to Grandma.

You see, when they were married in 1915 and started farming, cash money was scarce. Grandma knew she could get a collection of rocks with no money ever being spent. Their yard had huge trees and a rock border and none of those things cost her a penny.

Things that make you happy and make others happy don’t have to cost money especially if you’ve got rocks.

Grandma loved her rocks and so did we.

Such a beautiful day for the Oconee Farm Crawl at Lughnasa Farm, LLC ! I loved watching all the little faces light up with excitement over finding pretty rocks! I also enjoyed all the conversations I had about mining sites and group digs. I'm thankful for all you RockHounds 💎 ⛏️

Here’s a little peek at what gem mining looks like when you dig in 💎⛏️

1️⃣ Pick your bucket and get ready to see what’s hiding inside
2️⃣ Dump it into the sluice and start letting the water do its thing
3️⃣ First rinse—just breaking everything down and getting to the good stuff
4️⃣ Little by little, the gems start to show up ✨
5️⃣ Sorting through the finds and spotting the favorites
6️⃣ The “wait… is that one bigger?” moment 😄
7️⃣ Final haul—always more sparkle than you expect!

My son had the best time going through this bucket and finding all the treasures himself. It’s one of those simple things that turns into a really good memory 💕

We’ll be set up at upcoming festivals with our mobile gem mining sluice if you see us out, come try a bucket!
