A little "cha-ching" from the golden age of American storefronts!! For sale here at the Smoky Mountain Antique Mall.
Let's chat about the history of this beauty, shall we? This antique National Cash Register was made by the National Cash Register Company of Dayton, Ohio, a company that began in 1884 after John H Petterson purchased the early cash register business connected to James's Ritty's invention. These machines were what changed the ways stores operated.
Dating to the late 1800s to early 1900s, this ornate NCR register is a piece of retail history all by itself. Look at that detailed metalwork, those classic number keys, she's gorgeous. This one came out of a Central Kentucky store so it has a little Appalacian adjacent ish merchant history tucked right into it.
Available now at the Smoky Mountain Antique Mall - $950
