I'm late to adding a post in honor of Gather's dear friend as I just learned of his tragic passing. Ted delighted our customers with the beautiful paintings he did on our storefronts over the years.
Ted was a character and there wasn't a time he entered our store that he didn't make us laugh. He never left that we didn't have a smile on our faces. He was the ultimate professional. He cared deeply that his work pleased us and that it was exactly what we wanted.
Years into painting our windows I discovered that Ted painted gym floors for my father for decades. My dad would sand the gym floors and Ted would paint the logos. There aren't many true craftsman remaining like these gentleman.
Most importantly, Ted was kind and he had a gentle soul. He always asked about our day, no matter what was happening in his own life. He was a good man. This world lost an amazing artist, a bright light, and an even better man. Rest in peace, sweet Ted.
