I have developed a 5 minute video on 5 methods to apply bean and pea inoculant. From pre-planting all the way to applying inoculant for next years crop.
Inoculant is bacteria that produce nitrogen from the air in the soil and feed it to the pea and bean plants. Free fertilizer. That is why these crops are high protein foods. Letting nature take care of the plants with a little nudge from us humans is not a bad way of gardening. Hope you enjoy the short video. Please share it with others.

This is a testament to not planting early. These papaw pixies were planted the 3rd week of May. The plants were never chilled or stressed. I am growing for seed but if you want an early tomato to plant out or put in a container this is the one. It produces cocktail size tomatoes till frost . My healthy kicks will be ripening in a week. They are container friendly as well.

BTW This one will be eaten shortly...for quality control reasons of course!!

We are quickly approaching canning and preserving season.
Push yourself to try something new like kohlrabi. A delightful vegetable like turnips but milder. I harvested about 25 of them, made slaw using kohlrabi instead of cabbage. This is vinegar based but you can rinse it if you like and add mayo for creamy slaw.
