General Pen Info
* Time to Carve: The time to carve a pen depends on many factors. These factors can be related to the pen, which include material type, pen kit type, number of pens in an order, complexity of techniques, etc. As this is a side business, and I'm still in school and have a job, other factors such as exam times, workload, shift times, etc. can affect the time it takes to carve.
* Handling and Care: Handle a pen in the manner of which you would handle a nice watch. For maximum protection and longevity, make sure to
1.) Wipe off the metal from time to time to prevent tarnishing from dirt and the oils from your hands.
2.) Avoid extreme environments. Some materials are more prone to expansion and contraction from temperature. A good example of a place to avoid would be your car in the summer and winter. Do not drop your pen!
3.) Use your pen. If you don't use your pen for a while, then the ink can dry up. This is especially important with fountain and rollerball pens.
4.) Repolish your pen, use a plastic polish for resin, acrylic, and pens with CA coats. Use a wood furniture paste wax if you have wood not finished with CA.
5.) If storing a fountain pen for a long time, make sure to empty the ink and store it with the nib facing up or horizontally.
* Custom Orders: As we are a small business, it may become difficult to keep up with custom orders. We will try to make custom orders, but it may take a longer amount of time. We will look at having a monthly recommendation post which customers can post things that they would like to see, from which we can choose the most popular ideas to carve.
* Refills: All of the pens made are refillable. The post that explains the pen for sale will list the refill required.
