Sheboygan once had the nickname "Chair City" because of its' concentration of furniture makers. This table and 4 chairs are part of this Wisconsin history as they were built by the Phoenix Chair Company sometime between 1915 and 1930. The Phoenix Chair Co. was founded in 1876 and known for their solid hardwood construction.
