Sue is named after a beloved Aunt who recently passed away and left it as a great memory and reminder of her. What a great way to keep her close to you!

Restoring Sue wasn’t an easy task, she was in pretty rough shape and had many different layers and repairs needed. We kept most of her origin features to stay true to herself. Getting rid of the paint on the top showed its true beautiful wood hidden underneath all that paint. Her body is refreshed in generalfinishes Linen paint and sealed to perfection. She’s one again a classy lady!

This is why we love what we do, this fills our BVR hearts when people trust us to restore these special pieces. Thank you & John🙏🏻❤️

Hello Barely Vintage Friends!! It’s our 8 year anniversary!!
We have gone quiet in resent months but rest assured we are still up grading furniture. We have but been upgrading our personal spaces with remodeling and pieces for our own homes. You will be hearing a lot more from us very soon 😉

Custom piece

This is a beautiful trunk pasted down for generations. I am grateful I got to give Ellen a new fresh look. I sanded down the top stained with coffee Minwax gel stain, sealed with oil poly. The body is painted with General Finishes Basil and sealed with water poly. New paper inside to compliment the freshly oiled cedar. Ellen is all set for future generations to enjoy!! Currently she will be little Norah’s toy box at grandmas house. I love that so much!! Enjoy Brauer family!!

Hello beautiful entry table !!
This is Martin ❤️ A solid oak entry table. A strong name for a strong table. An ode to our family name. Built by my most beautiful father-in-law, who is no longer with us..
Martin!! Solid top to bottom.
His oak top and lower shelf are stained and finished with a paint wash. Creating beautiful dimension in the wood grain. His body is painted with the fusionmineralpaint Putty. An easy neutral greigel. Sealed head to toe, to last. New antique bronze k***s to finished his new look.
Martin works great for an entry, as a sofa table or an excellent addition to a hallway.

Say hello to Brenda, a beautiful new desk that has a complete new look. There were two layers of veneer on top of this beautiful wood that were severely damaged. Both layers were removed and luckily there was a beautiful wood underneath that brought some character with it. Her body is painted in melangepaints coralcotta, which is described as a creamy coral with earthy terracotta undertones, such a fun color. Even the original hardware was just painted in a champagne gold to give it a whole new look. Thanks Angela for trusting us to update this piece for your space, enjoy!!!
