Just hanging with the gnomies today!

Also, not sure I could have been more efficient with that wood if I tried. Of course, 4 seconds after I took the pic of the nose, it got lost in the huge pile of shavings under my lathe. Took me longer to find the nose than it did to turn it.

I've held on to this piece of spalted maple long enough. It was a little p***y from rot. Despite that, I'm still quite happy with the finish.

Also pictured, my stash of rough turned bowls I cranked out today. I don't do these very often, but figured I'd try again to see if I like the process and end result any better now. LOTS of shavings today!
