🌿 Nature's Surprise of the Day 🌿

While walking through our perennial lot this past weekend, we spotted something pretty incredible—a Cecropia Moth, the largest native moth in North America!

With a wingspan that can reach up to 6 inches, these beautiful creatures are rarely seen because they're primarily active at night. Even more fascinating, adult Cecropia moths don't eat at all. They spend their short lives focused on one thing: continuing the next generation.

Moments like this are a reminder that our gardens, landscapes, and even the "weeds" around us are part of a much bigger ecosystem. Sometimes if we slow down long enough, nature gives us a front-row seat to something extraordinary.

A note from Brittany 💛

One of my favorite parts of business is getting to connect with other female founders who are willing to show up authentically and tell the truth about the messy middle of life, leadership, and mental health.

Recently, I had the opportunity to interview Melissa Bernstein, co-founder of Melissa & Doug and creator of the Lifelines collection. What struck me most wasn’t just her success… it was her honesty. Her willingness to openly share her struggles with anxiety, overwhelm, and the pressure so many women silently carry every day.

As someone who deeply believes in taking care of our mental and emotional well-being, her story resonated with me in a big way.

That’s why I’m incredibly excited to share that we are now carrying pieces from the Lifelines collection here at Sherburn Nursery & Floral, including the beautiful FlowArt sets and several diffuser varieties designed to bring more calm, creativity, and intentional moments into everyday life.
