During a recent meltdown from feeling like I should be “doing more for my business” my husband graciously and firmly told me to head downstairs to the office to have some quiet time- alone- to work on whatever I felt needed my attention. I was relatively productive, but to be honest I spent most of my time missing my family- and the alone time sucked. 🤣🤦🏻♀️🫠
I’m drenched in a season of a chronically untidy house; days that start well before the sun rises and end well after the last ray of light shines above the mountain; tractors, cars, and monster trucks quite literally everywhere; constant commotion from loud, playful voices; new favorite recipes; and an exhaustion that caffeine could never touch and is overcome only by an incomprehensible amount of love. Our days are relatively unstructured. Our cheeks hurt from smiling. We’ve burned off nearly all the rubber on our bike tires this summer and our knees are permanently scraped up. Every single day is an adventure. And just when I start to boil over with the self inflicted guilt of *not doing enough,* I see our family happy, and I know that is enough.
During my mandated work afternoon, I did accomplish a website update, Instagram refresh, and some progress on some small creative projects I might have available for y’all soon. 🤠There’s a few new goodies at wyldnpretty.com and we’re still offering local delivery and shipping nationwide! So many of you have been the best cheerleaders while I’ve stepped back from it all. My family and I thank you sooooo much. I’m so grateful to be where we are in life.❤️
