“Carlotta, for her part, made delicious treats in a kitchen outfitted with pink GE appliances.”

I, for one, would love to see the kitchen with those pink appliances!

I toured an amazing house, last night, with L.A. and Beyond Architecture and Art Tours. A designer’s dream kind of evening!

Stahl House is simple and modest and amazing! Views beyond measure from every room! Iconic home…. Arguably, one of the most famous houses in LA, because of one photo I will add at the end.

This 3-car garage/workshop conversion to guest house/ADU is finishing up soon. “So pretty” are the words client thanked me with when I saw her yesterday. Makes me happy to help a client through this and see their wishes come to life.

Antique table (English c.1720’s) meets new kitchen island. The client loves this table and wanted it incorporated into their new kitchen, not just sitting in the middle of the room, as it was before. She also was in need of the added workspace and storage. I can assure you... No antique was harmed in the making of this island. I designed the island in such a way that the “missing” pair legs were dropped into a pocket, between back of cabinets and a finish back panel. One long apron piece of the table was carefully shifted out of the way. Block feet added to bottom of legs to raise the height. If they really wanted, the table could be removed and reused on its own. The island would need a new countertop, though.

This new island cabinetry is about to become one with the antique table. Can’t wait to see it done and in its new home!
