After 13 months of persistent negotiating, we finally started this project in OโFallon, IL.
Solar panels came off last Monday, materials arrived the next day, and the new roof was completed by Thursday morning. This week is solar reinstallation, followed by siding, soffit, fascia, and gutter replacement.
To be candid, there were times we werenโt sure weโd get here. After reviewing this customerโs Insurance Policy, we knew it was going to be an uphill battle. There was a lot of restrictive language standing between us and success. The language was so restrictive our customer uploaded his policy in an A.I. application and listed our scenario. He said, โA.I. says we lose. Thereโs no way around that language.โ - Challenge Accepted
The insurance companyโs initial offer was $66,391.85. After more than a year of back and forth, we won an award of over $120,000.
We didnโt just win. We won in such an overwhelming fashion, the insurance had to pay for our appraisal costs and our half of the umpire fees.
So what did this cost the customer? The months of back and forth, the appraisal, the umpireโฆ$1. Thatโs right, we only charged the customer $1 for our public adjustment services.
Moral of the story, it pays to hire a roofer with a Public Adjusting License.
