🎉 Happy Birthday, Shohola! 🎉

On this day, September 26, 1852 — 174 years ago today — Shohola Township was officially formed.

Our community’s history goes back even further, with the Village of Shohola first settled in 1772.

For generations, Shohola has been a special place to call home — shaped by its history, natural beauty, local families, businesses, organizations, and neighbors helping neighbors.

So today, let’s take a moment to celebrate 174 years of Shohola Township and everything that makes our community special.

🎂 Happy Birthday, Shohola!

If you have an old photo, a favorite Shohola memory, or a piece of local history, share it in the comments! We’d love to see them.

Thank you to Erik Dilger for posting this about our Amazing town .

It’s 9-2-5 and it is now known as Dolly Day 🩷 Get out there and be kind and if you can help out ~ Great ! Whether it’s physically or monetarily. Dolly gave her whole life and she was always smiling . If you’re looking for a local organization to help , we at the Shohola Area Lions Club would love it . Either by volunteering with us , joining our club or a donation . We (like Dolly) will always be there for our community in whatever way is needed . 🦁🩷🦋
