2nd Chance Depot

It is with great sadness that we announce the closing of the 2nd Chance Depot.

Over the years, the Depot has been a place where people could donate gently used furniture, find affordable pieces for their homes, and support the ministry of ATLAS of Sioux Center. After much prayer and discussion, the board, staff, and our faithful volunteers have come to a place of unity and peace in recognizing that this ministry is no longer part of ATLAS’ calling moving forward.

There are so many people we want to thank. From everyone who has donated something, to our three managers—Jake Kieft, Oots Altena, and Michelle Boer—to the many volunteers who have served over the years. Some have faithfully volunteered for more than a decade, while others have helped a few times along the way. We truly cannot express how grateful we are for each of you.

The Depot will hold closeout sales for the next three weeks as we prepare to say our final goodbye on Saturday, March 28.

During this time, the store will be open Monday–Friday from 11:30 AM–5:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:30 AM–Noon.

We would love for you to stop in during these final weeks to shop and to thank the volunteers who have made this ministry possible.

Thank you to this community for your incredible support over the years. You have been a tremendous blessing to all of us at ATLAS of Sioux Center and the Center for Financial Education.

Stop in and check out what we have-- furniture, lighting, decor, antiques, toys, appliances, kitchen supplies, tools, and so much more! Take a walk around and you may discover something that you never knew you always wanted!

All proceeds go to ATLAS of Sioux Center and Center for Financial Education so each sale is meaningful and goes back into our community.

Saying Goodbye...💜
After almost 9 years, I'm stepping down as Manager of 2nd Chance Depot, I will miss our incredible volunteers, coworkers (family!), board members, and customers so much!
I've loved working with a community that gives so generously - church groups, local businesses, schools, and our university. Special shout-out to Robbie and the crew from Central church for making pick-ups a breeze!!
To my amazing volunteers-Nel, Gloria, Stan, Rin, Jeris, Michael and the newest Vincent...you all are the heart and backbone of 2nd Chance Depot! Also a thank you to Tim, Tina and Harley!
