It’s been almost 3 years since I made a post like this, right around when we opened our brick and mortar. Man, what a journey. There are a couple thousand more of you here now, and I’ve loved every minute of getting to share flowers with you. Swipe for more about me!

For those who don’t know, I’m Stephanie, the one-woman show behind In Flower. I’ve been doing flowers for about 11 years now, which honestly doesn’t feel possible. Our shop sits on the edge of downtown Sioux Falls. Come by anytime for a bouquet, or browse our retail section of plants and gifts. It’s a space we put a lot of love into designing, and I hope it shows.
I grew up in South Dakota, went to art school in Portland, had a stint in Minneapolis, and eventually landed back in Sioux Falls after meeting my partner. My favorite flower is the Icelandic poppy, though if I’m honest, I’ve never met a flower I didn’t like. I’m big into dopamine dressing, and most of my closet is thrifted which is something I’m really proud of.
My mom was a refugee who came to this country as a teenager. We’re Tai Dam, a Southeast Asian ethnic group indigenous to parts of Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam, it’s a huge part of my identity, and I love getting to talk about it.
Favorite food is still sticky rice and papaya, with sushi a close second. I’ve got a bunny named Coco and a new pup named Love, and they are my whole heart 🥹. My partner is a teacher, and an incredible one at that. At the end of the day, I just love making things beautiful … spaces, flowers, fashion, art, all of it.
