This wonderful piece of furniture was rescued from another home, and recessed into the wall of this beautiful Queen Anne Victorian here in Sioux Falls.

You can see here that many repairs, and a few changes had to occur... But much care was given to keep its original Presence and Beauty! Once fit and installed, the Border Trimming was installed to keep it in place. Century old wallpaper had to be removed from the inside of it, and most of the wainscote backing had to be repaired or replaced. The original Hardware was cleaned and reused as well!!

The Leaded Glass Doors took a little repair, but them and the Drawers all operate as should. The Homeowner also added a Wine Glass Holder & LED accent lighting inside. Another addition is a slide out pedestal, wich holds the coffee maker.

After much Caulk and Putty work, I used a specialty Wood Primer, before adding multiple coats of Sherwin Williams Pro-Industrial Acrylic Semi-Gloss. The color for this beautiful saved piece of colonial history is "Snowbound"

If facebook wants to pander to my friends for their money... Why can't I??

Do you really want to help our Community while also showing support for my Birthday? Than I ask you to please consider Donating to the Project!!

We are still shooting for a retail operation reopening date of April 1st of this year! Many of you have showed support over the last fourteen months, either financially or with products. I can never THANK all of you enough! But the bill is still running...

The Repurpose Project Center reopening in this Historic location is only the BEGINNING of the Future of the ReNew West Sioux Falls Project. The new life breathed into this Crown Jewel will allow a heartbeat to spread out,
Enveloping the rest of the History and wonderful People that make up this very important Neighborhood in our town. A great Organization similar to DTSF is being buildt. This organization, by my design, will destin the history of everything west of the Cathedral... All the way to the Fairgrounds! This also great history of our original Town, Seemingly overseen and forgotten by the money laundering politicians of the downtown valley below.

Every dime and dollar spent with me is an investment to our future. An investment to the businesses and people that call West Sioux Falls home. To the Artisans and Antiquers that work so diligently by my side to keep our history alive! And an investment to make every bit of my Legacy... Part of your own!

Interested? Reach out!! I would happily show you wherever dollar invested so far has gone to creating this amazing new work/retail space for our Local Artisans!

Upcoming Open House, Saturday March 9th!!

Thank you Lord,
For allowing me this Journey!!

The Hillbilly

That old tramp behind me was named Gary and we spent 2 days together under a bridge in Laurel, Montana while we waited for different trains. He was apart of the old world that I thought had been long forgotten. He walked up under the bridge the first day I got there and called out to me before entering. I yelled a welcome back and the first thing he remarked was all the old tags or monikers from travelers that had faded from under the bridge. We had a long conversation about all the legendary hobos that used to be listed under there and I showed him my old faded tags dating back a decade.

He knew so much of the old code of the railroad. He knew so much forgotten history and folklore. He had never had a license, a bank account or a phone of any kind. He didn’t drink or use anything except w**d and that worked good for me.

We spent 2 days telling tales of traveling coast to coast on the railroad. We talked about the state of the world, and religion and what our dreams and nightmares were. I should have caught out after the first day but it’s so rare you meet someone from the older generations that’s mentally stable and able to communicate without conflict. He told me I was the first traveler he’d ran into in over a year. He could have left after that first night too, but I think we both just enjoyed the company. It was just like the old days before social media, cell phones and cameras everywhere. It did my soul good and I think it was exactly what I had been praying for in some ways. I needed some closure from the years I spent in that life. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to kill a couple days.

Here’s to Gary, who I will never see or hear from again. Here’s to the old ways of the world and may they never be forgotten.
