Another VDW Retreat is in the books!
This year we headed to the Crofton, NE / Yankton, SD area for a little time away from the office. We did very little work and enjoyed a pontoon day on the river, golf, a classic dive-bar supper, and of course… our annual Murder Mystery Party.
This year’s theme was a neighborhood block party: Grillin’, Chillin’ & Killin’ 🔪🔥
Poor Travis got killed… again. 😂 And the culprit? Ben’s fiancée, Mar!
As always, the murder mystery costumes were on par, the laughs were plentiful, and a great time was had by all. Another successful VDW Retreat in the books!

Our VDW crew is heading out this weeeknd for our annual office retreat! Our office will be closed Monday, August 31st through midday on Wednesday, September 2nd while we take a little time to recharge, reconnect…and possibly solve a murder. 🕵️‍♀️🔪

One retreat tradition we never skip: Murder Mystery Night. From questionable characters to suspicious alibis, we’ve had some pretty memorable themes over the years. Enjoy these throwback pics from past mysteries!

As for this year’s theme? That information is currently classified.

Proud and honored to have been a part of this incredible new student housing project at Augustana University! We celebrated their ribbon cutting this week and were reminded once again of what an incredible visionary Craig Lloyd was in our community. He would be so proud of the Lloyd Companies team for bringing his vision to life!

to The Crimson!

Completed in 2023 near 85th Street & Minnesota Avenue, this modern mixed-use project includes 105 dwelling units, indoor pool, fitness room, community room, heated tuck-under parking, and ground-floor office space.

We always enjoy looking back at a project once it’s been lived in for a few years. And this one has become a great addition to south Sioux Falls.

Well, Huron… it’s officially happening!
After plenty of drawings, details, and decisions dirt is officially moving on the new Comfort Inn & Suites in Huron, SD
We’re proud to be the architects behind this much-needed addition to the Huron community and even more excited to see it make the leap from our screens to the jobsite.
There’s a lot of work between groundbreaking and grand opening, but this is a pretty great place to start. We can’t wait to watch it come together!

A side note, Katie is looking forward to staying here when the State Fair rolls around next year!
