OUR TWO HANDS IS LOOKING FOR QUALITY SUBCONTRACTORS & CRAFTSMEN!

After more than 40 years in the construction business, we know that exceptional projects begin with exceptional people.

As Our Two Hands, LLC continues to grow, we’re seeking dependable, skilled subcontractors and craftsmen in all trades to join our network for residential and commercial projects throughout Louisiana.

We’re looking for professionals who:

* Take pride in the quality of their work
* Show up prepared and follow through on commitments
* Communicate clearly and work well with others
* Stand behind their craftsmanship
* Operate with integrity, professionalism, and respect

We value skill and experience, but character matters just as much. Our goal isn’t simply to add names to a subcontractor list—we’re building long-term relationships with reliable professionals who share our commitment to doing things right.

Whether you’re an established subcontractor with a crew or an independent craftsman who takes pride in your trade, we’d like to hear from you.

Interested in working with Our Two Hands? Send us a message with your name, trade or specialty, service area, years of experience, and best contact information. We’ll follow up to learn more about your work and discuss potential opportunities.

⚠️ FYI — WITH BAD WEATHER POSSIBLY HEADED OUR WAY

With the threat of severe weather and the possibility of a Category 2 hurricane impacting our area, now is the time to prepare—not panic.

And unfortunately, after the storm passes, another kind of storm usually rolls in: storm-chasing contractors looking to take advantage of homeowners when they’re tired, stressed, and trying to put their homes back together.

A few things to remember:

* STAY LOCAL whenever possible.
* GET REFERENCES and actually check them.
* Verify that the contractor is properly licensed and insured in Louisiana.
* Don’t let anyone pressure you into signing something immediately.
* Be very cautious of anyone promising to “handle your entire insurance claim” or “eat your deductible.”
* KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. It’s your home, your insurance policy, and your decision.

There are plenty of reputable local contractors who live here, work here, and will still be here long after the storm chasers have packed up and moved on.

Protect your family. Protect your property. And protect yourself from becoming a victim twice.

Stay safe, neighbors.

Sometimes what comes out of the shop means a little more than just another project.

These four handcrafted plaques were donated to the SMH Foundation Cancer Center fundraiser, Rooftop Rendezvous, to help support a cause that has touched far too many families in our community.

Each one started as a piece of wood and an idea, then came the carving, sanding, coloring, painting and plenty of hands-on work. But the real value isn’t in the hours spent making them—it’s in what they can help accomplish.

I’ve always believed that if you have a skill, a talent or simply two willing hands, you have something you can give back.

I hope these pieces raise a few dollars, bring a few smiles, and help the SMH Foundation continue the important work they do for cancer patients and their families.

Made by Our Two Hands.
Donated from the heart. ❤️

Now somebody better bid these things up—I can always make more sawdust. 😎

👑 THE CROWN JEWEL HAS ARRIVED! 👑

The crown jewel of the Hospice Hope House Community Arts Project is complete — and it is now home in Slidell!

And WOW… what a piece of art.

The incredible Terrance Osborne brought this Hope House to life in a way only he could. His unmistakable New Orleans style, bold colors and incredible attention to detail transformed this house into something truly special. Having an artist of Terrance’s caliber put his talent behind this project is an honor, and his Hope House will undoubtedly be one of the centerpieces of this entire community project.

But there is another person who deserves some BIG recognition.

Connie Born of Mischief Creations has been the missing link that helped turn this project into something much bigger than we originally imagined.

Building the houses was one thing. Getting talented artists involved, creating excitement, telling the story and bringing all the pieces together was another.

Connie did that.

Her creativity, energy and marketing ability have helped take the Hospice Hope House Community Arts Project from an idea into a true community-wide arts movement. She believed in what this could become and then went to work making sure other people believed in it too.

This November, the City of Slidell will showcase the Hope Houses in an art exhibition, celebrating this project and, most importantly, highlighting the talented artists who have each put their own heart, personality and creativity into these houses.

Seeing where this project started and what it has grown into has been pretty incredible.

Terrance — thank you for lending your extraordinary talent to this project.

Connie — thank you for being the creative force and connector this project needed.

The houses may have started in the shop… but it’s the artists, people and stories behind them that have truly brought this community to life.

And Slidell hasn’t even seen the whole neighborhood yet. ❤️🏠🎨
