Back in Pennsylvania today and we are working ridiculously hard behind the scenes…

Cleaning. Organizing. Planning. Prepping.

We're getting ready for one of our favorite times of the year...Fall. 🍂

There are boxes to sort, displays to rethink, orders to unpack, and a whole lot happening that nobody sees yet.

But while we were working today, a little bit of fall might have already spilled into the Home Collection Room. 👀

One season at a time...but I have to admit, the colors, the textures - I'm here for it.

One last “real life” picture while I’m traveling back to Pennsylvania to get busy on another Shop project (more on that later 😉).

Every hunting lodge needs a fishing room, and this one makes me happy💕.

The sailfish over the bed was caught by my dad in the early 1970s. It hung in his office at The Shop for years, and when he retired, it ended up tucked away on a shelf in the back room.

When I took over the building, I found it hiding there.

Now he’s the centerpiece of a room again.

Between Dad’s sailfish and the mounted fish caught by the previous owner of the house, this room already had a pretty good start…

The Pine Grove bedding and curtains from The Shop just helped finish the story. 🤍

This might be the coziest room in the house.

It’s quiet, tucked away, and on a rainy day it’s almost impossible to get me to leave.

The bedding is the Wyatt collection from The Shop, and it’s probably one of my favorite bedrooms I’ve put together. (Except the duvet - we don’t sell those - it’s Eddie Bauer)

But here’s the little trick hiding in this room…

Sometimes it’s a room for a couple.

Sometimes it’s a room for two hunters.

The bed is actually two Twin XL beds pushed together. Add a good thick, comfy mattress topper and you’ve got a king-size bed that’s surprisingly comfortable.

The headboards are mounted on a barn door rail. Together they create one king headboard. Slide them apart and they become two twin headboards.

Not every decorating idea has to be complicated. Sometimes it just has to work. 🤍

We’re finally settling into summer around here.

The mobile is finished and ready to hit the road, the projects at The Shop are wrapped up (for now 😏), and life is starting to slow down just a little.

So I thought it might be time to get back to sharing a few peeks into our “real life.”

This is my favorite hideout.

It’s less than 10 miles from Smicksburg, and when I don’t have a project keeping me busy, this is usually where you’ll find me. I’ve always loved the feel of an old hunting lodge, so that’s exactly what I tried to create here.

The curtains, table runner, accent pillows, and throw blanket all came from The Shop—but this room isn’t a display. It’s where I drink my coffee, unwind after a long day, and occasionally fall asleep watching TV.

To be honest, strawberries have never really been our thing - But seeing so many familiar faces (and quite a few new ones!) stop in and spend part of Strawberry Saturday with us certainly is.

For the last few weeks, we've been working on something new inside The Shop.

What started as an idea for a gallery room slowly became something else.

Layers. Collected pieces. Character. Comfort. Things that feel like they’ve been gathered over a lifetime.

We don't think homes are built all at once. They're built piece by piece. The Home Collection brings together the kinds of pieces that add depth, character, and comfort to a home over time.

It's still evolving (and probably always will be 😊), but we're excited to share the first chapter with you.

Well…today got interesting 😳

We really do try to plan months in advance around here.

But sometimes life looks at the plan, laughs, and does its own thing.

Today we’ve got:
🤍 The new mobile’s very first event at the Antique Tractor Show
🤍 A wedding
🤍 A funeral
🤍 And regular hours at The Shop

So we’ve dug deep, called in a few favors, and everyone is pitching in to make sure everything is covered.

If you stop by today, you might see a few folks doing jobs they don’t normally do.
