This vest has been on my mind for quite some time. I finally brought it to life. I think it’s important as artists to uplift and address issues impacting our communities. Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP) is a crisis across Indian Country - throughout North America. I want better outcomes for my daughter’s generation and those after.
The denim vest is a reclaimed and upcycled Levi jacket. Hand beaded with size 13/0 charlotte cuts. Embroidered patches and pin are from . I also painted the design on the back. This is my first fashion project outside of beaded hats. I have more ideas for the future. This vest will be available at CalPoly Humboldt Big Time. If it doesn’t sell there I will add to my Etsy store.

Last brim hat for CalPoly Humboldt Big Time complete. Hat is a polywool blend. Hand beaded with size 11/0 miyuki rocaille and true cuts in opaque black, eggshell white, silverlined emerald and dark topaz.
I will have a collection of six brim hats available there on April 4th along with some jewelry, shirts and stickers. Hope to see you there!
