Pretty happy about this one! 🫶🏼
We’re opening a second Ace Coffee Co. location in Smiths Grove, Kentucky!
For years, my grandmother, Stella, owned a diner in Smiths Grove, and I spent nearly every summer there working alongside her. It’s where I learned to cook, where I learned the art of service, and where I first understood how something as simple as a cup of coffee could bring people together.
Every morning, the local farmers would gather around what everyone called the “coffee drinkers’ table” to discuss current events, share stories, and solve the world’s problems before most people had even started their day.
Smiths Grove has always held a special place in my heart. So when the opportunity came to bring Ace here, especially inside a historic building with a story of its own, it felt like things were coming full circle.
BUT this Ace will be a little different.
If you’ve ever visited a small, independent coffee shop tucked away on a street in Europe, where the focus is less on how many things are on the menu and more on how beautifully each one is made, that’s the feeling we’re bringing here.
A smaller footprint. A more curated experience. A deeper focus on the craft of coffee.
Think traditional macchiatos, true cortados, cappuccinos, espresso, authentic Italian affogatos, thoughtfully prepared lattes, and matcha. Hand-selected chocolates, beautiful pastries, mini quiches, a small grab-and-go selection, and a few of our favorite Ace retail pieces.
We’ll also offer canned cold beverages and cold brew, but our espresso menu will be intentionally focused on traditional hot preparations.
Not more. Just more intentional.
This entire venture is made possible through our collaboration with Indigo Fox, the event venue and pop-up studio from Foxhole in the Grove, who are bringing this beautiful space to life alongside us.
Together, we have an opportunity to create something that celebrates good coffee, creativity, community, and the history of a town that deserves all of those things.
We’re aiming to open the week before Thanksgiving, and we’ll be sharing plenty of behind-the-scenes updates as we bring everything together.
From my grandmother’s diner to a little coffee shop of my own, all these years later.
Smiths Grove, we’re coming home.
