Getting ready to paint a couple of hours on this blustery afternoon. As usual, I'm working on four canvases at a time.
One is a commission. I hope to have eleven more this year.
Two are just things I want to paint. I hope to paint at least one thing a month just because I want to.
The fourth one is the first of the 12 portraits I hope to paint this year - one a month because the only way I will learn is through practice - and some YouTube videos maybe?
And I'm painting in the ShARTwo - or is it the Sh'ARToo?
And the wind chime I made found its home.

Just sitting down to paint a little after NOT painting for at least a month ...story of The Sh'ARTwo to follow soon!

Sunset at Ocracoke
16 x 20 oil on canvas - painted for William Parker from his photo taken on a recent duck hunting trip. William endured my freshman English class at WRH. The next time I saw him, many years later, he was skinning a bear at DO Dixon's house. Neither of us could have predicted that DO and I would later marry and that William and Johanna and their boys would be part of our lives today.
Yes, in the last photo, William is reading a book for me...
He's one of the most unique, talented, and authentic people I know.

Another member of The Kennel Club! I was commissioned to paint this for one of my loyal Tin City Art friends. I think Charlie was finished except for my signature in this photo, and the recipient of this gift was pleased. I would love to have several pets lined up waiting for their turn to join.
