The sample boards are in and we're just as obsessed as ever.

There's something about seeing a material laid out like this, all the tones and textures together, that makes the whole story click. It's the closest thing to imagining a tile in your space before it's ever on the wall.

September was a month of milestones, anniversaries, blessings, and hard things.

A trip to Montana. An unexpected trip to Connecticut to say goodbye to a beautiful human being. Four years of marriage and eight years since I met my life partner. A birthday I don’t make a big deal about, but it’s in there. And the one-year mark of a season I wasn’t sure I’d get through.

Look how far we’ve come. A year ago I was standing in the middle of the hardest stretch this business has seen. This September I watched my team blossom into the machine they are now.

Life is short. Live your life. Love and appreciate the people who show up for you. Work hard. Work really, really hard. What else is there to do but work hard for the people who show up for you?

My heart is so full today. Thank you to my friends, my family, my clients. Life would not be half as rich and beautiful as it is without you.

There's something about the way those two shapes lock together, the star opening up, the cross quietly holding it all in place. It has history to it, that old-world, hand-laid feeling, but it never reads dated. Just grounded and a little mesmerizing.

It's the kind of pattern that turns a floor into the reason you walk into a room.

Some days it hits us how lucky we are to call this work.

Getting to spend our days surrounded by beautiful materials, helping bring someone's vision to life, watching a pile of samples turn into a space someone will love for years. It never really feels like work.

Grateful doesn't quite cover it.
