If you were on retreat with me, this is what I’d say.
Every part of you is welcome here, your queerness, your different way of doing things, your needs, your sorrow, your joy, your craft, all of your intersecting identities, your unique spirituality, and your presence.
I’d say, hey, my name is Lauren, and I guide people in ceremony, in song, learning fiber arts skills, and in meditation. I’m here to encourage you on your creative and spiritual path.
For over a decade I’ve been leading heart felt songs and experiences through moving sound and emotion through the body, for ten years I’ve been teaching knitting and spinning, and since 2024 I’ve been leading meditations that I intuit, guiding hundreds of people to a direct experience with themselves. Teaching you the tools to trust your own intuition and be creative everyday.
To me, art is a meditation practice, and meditation is an art. They inform eachother, and with both you work with the energy of one thing, to transform it into another.
I have a classical music background, a meditation certification, a successful creative business, and I meditate and make art everyday.
I’m one of your hosts for stitch & stillness, the retreat I created with my mother, a master quilter and teacher.
On retreat, I will teach you the art of meditation, and we will meditate while making art.
If you feel like making is more than just making, that it has spiritual significance, then this is the place for you.
