THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! We ripped the paper off the doors, lifted the blinds and welcomed in family, friends, locals and visitors from out of town as far as Chattanooga, TN, for a soft opening this past Friday and Saturday. We had to do some restocking both days on items that were flying off the shelves!
It was wonderful hearing the tourists say they just visited the other businesses and were making their rounds, or vice versa. A big shout out to my to my Twinsie, at Sand and Soul Designs for directing your patrons to “Go get that sleep mask!” 😘

You may not see us at the shop today but we are still hard at work with all the behind the scene things. Today’s task is cleaning up some old porch railings that date back to the 30’s or 40’s and apply polyurethane to go inside the shop. 😁

My thoughts for the day…. I wonder if I will be able to explain to whoever takes care of me when I am too old to do for myself or communicate on how to stretch my lower back to get relief. JS

We’re not slowing down. I feel like this last week kept us on our toes, having a couple of mishaps but all working out in the end. The bathroom is getting a facelift and the back storage area / mixing room has the tape and mud on the walls waiting for some extra attention over the next few days. Haleigh’s salon is coming together. The floor is down, our signs are up today and look amazing! Be sure to pause a second or two longer as you come to a stop at the corner of Rose and Municipal 😁. We want to give a shout out to Robert Mckenzie for doing such a great job on moving a few plumbing lines and capping a few off. If you need a handyman, I highly recommend him!
He’s a contractor that communicates well with his clients, does great work and is very reasonably priced.

And thank you, Amanda Jones, Carter and Samantha for all of your help while you were here! We know it wasn’t all a vacation but we appreciate you so much!

2 1/2 weeks since we closed. We’ve been steadily at it to make it our own. From doing all the paperwork to my vendors, wiping down all the shelving and taking a trip to Atlanta to get Haleigh’s chairs for her salon and a few items for use in my store.
Things are coming together. Keep watching as we continue the transition!
