What a way to close out the Michiana Yarn Crawl! 🧶 Thank you to everyone who found their way to Hummingbird these past two Saturdays, familiar faces and so many brand-new ones. Watching this community grow has us curious about what draws people to creativity and connection in the Michiana region.

That’s a question we’re exploring in a research study we’ve partnered on with the University of Notre Dame’s iTREDS program. We’d love to hear from you!

Day 4 of the Michiana Yarn Crawl ! My first stop was Hummingbird Sip & Stitch where I picked up this bookmark maker, and then my kids had a blast choosing yarn to make Christmas gifts for their teachers! 🧶🎄✨

Well, Michiana Yarn Crawlers… WOW. 🧶☕

Today was the biggest day Hummingbird has ever had, and not by a little. I didn’t get a single photo because I was pulling coffee shots nonstop and my husband Jason was making sandwiches like a man possessed (thank you to the kind guest who loaned him their fancy camera for these shots)!

But what I’ll remember most isn’t the numbers. It’s the sound of this place: so many of you lingering over your lattes, comparing your crawl haul, chatting with strangers who quickly became friends before heading to your next stop. That’s exactly the kind of joy I dreamed this café could hold.

And a little Go Irish ☘️ to the football fans who wandered in too!

The crawl continues next Saturday, and we’d love to see you again. Bring your crawl friends, bring your WIPs, and come stay a while, or get nourished before your next stop.
