Hand-painted artwork is where every Pigment & Petal piece begins.

Before a pattern becomes a bag, it starts as watercolor on paper — layers of paint, color, and experimentation in the studio.

As we move into spring, I’m sharing more of that side of the brand — the artwork, the process, and the quiet work behind each piece.

This little girl had no idea she would grow up to build a life around prints.

Even then I gravitated toward color and pattern, usually wearing something printed and carrying a little bag I insisted on bringing everywhere.

What I didn’t know then was that years later those instincts would lead me to build Pigment & Petal, a studio centered around original artwork, painting, and the slow, meaningful process of creating something from scratch.

Like most creative work, it’s grown layer by layer. Paintings turn into patterns, ideas evolve over time, and a brand slowly takes shape through patience, curiosity, and a lot of persistence.

One of the most meaningful parts of this journey has been discovering the community of women building thoughtful businesses and creative work of their own: artists, designers, and founders who continue to inspire me every day.

Today especially, I’m grateful for the women who create, build, and support one another along the way.✨💗
