I’ve loved crafting for as long as I can remember.... I started out with those little sun catcher things that you had to bake in the oven, moved on to ceramics with my mom and sister when I was a bit older, took up cross stitch in college, learned stained glass shortly after becoming a teacher, became interested in digital scrapbooking when I received a camera for my 40th birthday..... and the li
st goes on. Whether I’m working by myself or crafting with a group of friends, I treasure the feeling that I get when I look at something I’ve finished and just love it. As a teacher, it may be no surprise that creating bulletin boards is one of my favorite things about back to school every fall. I joked with someone once that when I retire, I’m going to hire myself out for decorating other teachers’ classrooms. I love it. After having worked a second job for nearly 10 years, getting up every Sunday morning for a 6am shift, I decided in October 2018 that I had had enough. I wanted my time back. I enjoyed my fall, winter and spring, but began thinking again about this idea I’ve had - starting a craft business of my own. It’s a win-win really; I get to create stuff that I love and earn some extra income in the process! As soon as school got out, I began working out the details, and From ME 2 U became a reality. I’m excited to share my work with you!
