Blunderful Arts

Blunderful Arts I'm a multi-disciplined artist doing blunderful things living in Okinawa, Japan! I have a knack for carrying skills and applying them to many situations.

Come follow the adventures of my 3 boys and I (I guess my husband, too) 😁 as we explore our surroundings and expand our talents! I have a four year degree in Art where I specialized in Graphic Design using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. The past 7.5 years I have been able to utilize those tasks minimally with side projects, however, the other skills that you require have been toned and pol

ished. I have worked under many stressful situations that have put my creativity to the test as well as my communication skills. I managed at least 50 clients, their properties and tenants which gives me more than enough experience in customer service and retention. I have an eye for details which I gained from my art education and used in my property inspections. If you would like a sample of my work, please let me know! Thank you for your consideration.

Yeah, I meant to make these a few weeks ago...
Took me this long to finish them...
My bad.
Maybe someone at Freedom Fest on July 2nd will want them, hehehehe.

Wrapped 7 little stars at the dojo last night.
The kids seemed to like these at my last event, so I got some more stars so they would have more colors to choose from!
It's fun to run into my little school friends at base events. They have SO MUCH to catch me up on. 🤣

I decided to play with some of my clay scraps today.
This looks way more fantastic in person. I videoed it before I cut it, and the slab is so dang pretty.
I'll have to get a better picture of these up close.

Jellyfish pendant done!
This jellyfish is sodalite wrapped in silver coated copper.
Now, tomorrow, I've really got to get producing a bunch of stuff for Freedom Fest.
If you've visited my booth before, what should I make more of?

Alright!
The copper and shark tooth pendant is finished!
It's nice and snug.
It's been an extra long rainy season it feels like. I guess I should use this time to make more stuff for Freedom Fest!!

I drew this tree awhile back and I thought I'd try coloring it in with my glitter gel pens.
I'm trying to up my coloring game by trying a couple of things.
I think it pops more than just coloring it brown.
I use reference photos a lot, but this tree actually came out of my brain. I find it makes me think differently than when I draw from a photo.

Found myself at the beach on Friday. It's been oddly chilly, so the kids played at the park behind me while I caught some ocean calmness. We thought it was going to rain all day, or we would have been in swim clothes.
I got enough of these done to finish some earrings.

Pretty helpful when your kid takes a video production class in school! Look at that expert camera handling!
I'm really excited to offer my art prints for sale. This is what I wanted to do with my art degree. I love sharing the beauty of the things I see with others. Now that my kids are older, I feel I can spend more time on drawing, painting and creating... And even share that with them!

Wow.
My substitute librarian post kind of blew up!
I'm so grateful for all the kind words and encouragement from everyone. I kind of don't know how to manage that kind of attention. I did not think so many people were going to see it, but that's the Internet for you! Thank you, everyone. 🥰
I'm going to try to awkwardly shift that attention now to another artist here in Okinawa.
Hey Elizabeth, your exhibition was so fun! Elizabeth goes by Tanoshige Artworks and you can find her art on display at Green Note right now! She also has items with her art on it for sale across the room from mine at The Kadena Gift Corner .
And yes, I bought some supplies at Green Note today.

You know, I am totally cool with trades. Someone gave me a bunch of copper and aluminum wire... So I'm wrapping this shark tooth for him. First time I've wrapped a shark tooth!
