Nice little custom pattern I’ve been working on. Cutting the edge tiles tomorrow and mounting it into pre-mounted sheets for the installer, I also will be building a matching wall accent piece to go along with it. It will be labeled, cut to fit and ready to install to make it so much smoother of an installation!

All finished! 5 weeks of cutting tile for this beautiful Traci O’Very and Unique Mosaics artwork mural. Love it! Got the mural separated into sheets today, install scheduled late September. Going camping in Flaming Gorge Utah to celebrate and get some much needed relaxing time! ✌️ 🏕️

I have been working for the past month on a beautiful project collaboration with local SLC mural painter, . What an exciting project this has been so far!

She designed the beautiful abstract artwork and I am building this mural from keystones 2” x 2” tiles with 1” tiles as the line work. Once completed, I will be installing this 5ft. X 10ft. mural horizontally into a new apartment building entryway here in SLC.

I just love how Traci designed the piece so that if you are walking in the apartment or walking out, it’s never upside down.

Guess what color grout I’m using? 🤩 My favorite grout color…

Installed! A super fun collaboration with James for a greenhouse room for our client in SLC. He did the beautiful install and tile work, I made the mural. The client wanted specific scenes within the three walls and also for the river from the walls continue to the floor. This room will soon get many plants built in within the outer areas of this room. This project was wild! Loved it.

What an honor it was to work on the sculpture base for Lyle London’s ‘Circling Spire’ Sculpture.

We worked on Fourth of July (on Freedom Boulevard at that!) to get the final touches and grouting finished on this sculpture base. 🇺🇸 This project was very difficult and a laborious job from start to finish with so many details, unexpected challenges, and brain teasers for flow of tile but we worked it out!

We waited to grout with until the shadow passed the sculpture in the afternoon. After removing every tile from the original mesh and single setting with Multi Max Lite I am confident that these tiles will be here to stay!

This past week I helped my daughter, her dog and cat move from the NC coast to CA coast where her and her husband are stationed. After unpacking we spent the day in San Deigo checking out how the mosaic I installed a couple years ago is doing. Other than a little addition a little bird added, all looks good! Across the street is the famous kissing sculpture “Unconditional Surrender” so we posed by it. My husband wasn’t on this trip so I just posed by myself and pretended he was there😂 What a great trip! Back to the studio this week to finish and start some more projects.

Scroll through this progress on my greenhouse mural project for a local client. Three walls will be installed along with the fact that the creek on the walls continues from the wall to the floor. This has been a challenge to marry all of it together but templating, pre-mounting and having James Morris (Jimmy) installing has been a dream. To be continued for the other two walls.
