Starting an Art Collection

If you have been dreaming of starting your own art collection, then The Collector's Wall can help you choose your first piece of large or small artwork. We can help you make several important decisions regarding your collection.

One of the most important things novice art collectors need help with is choosing relevant subject matter for their collections. If you are unsure of how to choose art for your collection, you may want to start by deciding what really excites you in the art world. If subject matter isn't important to you, you might need help choosing pieces based off of the emotions they evoke or the colors that are used.

The Size Is Important

For example, you might have a long hallway that is perfect for displaying big pieces or a small wall that is perfect for smaller pieces of artwork. We can help you get the scale just right.

Jack Nolan is an artist who develops beautiful pieces. We carry several of his pieces at The Collectors Wall. Below is a sampling about the artist that was taken from his personal page. We are honored and delighted to represent this artist in our location and invite you to stop by and take a look at the variety of watercolors he we have available for your home or office.

Jack Nolan is a plein air artist who always has a sketchbook handy. He enjoys the outdoor painting experience as well studio sessions and takes special pleasure in helping others to produce successful images from photos, sketches or painting on location.

Recent trips have resulted in works from Venice, Tuscany. New England and Maryland. Jack particularly enjoys many Florida locales where he sketches the landscapes and architecture of Sarasota, Longboat Key, Cortez Village and other historic places where he captures the nostalgic feeling of "Old Florida". Jack teaches a weekly class for the Ringling College of Art and Design’s Longboat Key Center. He has demonstrated for the Florida Watercolor Society and gives workshops at numerous Art Centers and art suppliers including ArtCenter Manatee and Keeton's Office and Art Supply.

Much of his work is available in Giclee form on archival watercolor paper or on canvas. Several recent original works are on watercolor canvas which can be framed without glass protection.
