Waterproofing.

A shower that leaks behind the tile doesn't show damage immediately.
It shows up 2–5 years later: soft drywall, mold behind the wall, failed tile.
By then the tile, the framing, and sometimes the subfloor need to be replaced.

Proper waterproofing means:
— Waterproof membrane on all shower walls (not just the floor pan)
— Correct slope on the shower floor (1/4 inch per foot minimum)
— Waterproofed corners and transitions
— No paper-faced drywall in wet areas

This is where cutting corners costs the most over time. We don't cut them.

🏠 Does your home have a basement from the 1960s or 70s? Finishing it is absolutely possible — but it’s a different project than finishing a newer unfinished space.
Older PA homes bring conditions that don’t show up in a quick walkthrough: block or stone foundations that need moisture evaluation, electrical panels that may not have capacity for new circuits, ceilings that get tight once ductwork is accounted for, and prior finished work that may have been done without permits.

𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘇 𝘃𝘀. 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘃𝘀. 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘇𝗶𝘁𝗲 — 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄.

Granite: natural stone, unique pattern in every slab, requires annual sealing,
heat resistant, shows etching less than marble.

Quartz (engineered): consistent pattern, non-porous, no sealing required,
slightly less heat resistant than granite. Most popular choice in kitchen remodels
across Bucks County for the past several years.

Quartzite: natural stone often confused with quartz. Harder than granite,
dramatically veined, requires sealing, premium price point.

The right choice depends on your household, your budget, and how you cook.
These are decisions worth making in person — which is why we have countertop

Just finished this master bathroom in Southampton, PA — and it came out great. 🙌

This was a full gut renovation. Here’s what we built:

✅ Custom tile shower — full floor-to-ceiling tile, new waterproofing from scratch, custom glass enclosure
✅ Freestanding tub with floor-mount plumbing
✅ Double vanity with LED mirror — proper lighting at face height for daily use
✅ Modern finishes throughout

The combination of the walk-in shower and the freestanding tub gives this bathroom two separate wet areas, each doing a different job. The double vanity with LED mirror makes the morning routine a lot less crowded.
