With the summer heat we've been having in CT lately, you just gotta have a SHAKE!

I restored this early 1940's Hamilton Beach model 33 malt mixer a while back and it comes in quite handy when it's hot out. Purrrrs like a kitten. Not bad for 80 years old.

This milk shake mixer put in a lot of time for its first run in probably over 20 years. Soooooo good.

The goal of this was to keep everything original for sentimental reasons. The pull chain was almost rusted into a stick. Each ball was oiled, loosened and cleaned. All of the hardware was cleaned and polished to maintain its patina. The wires and bulb fixture were in good shape and working order. Care was taken with cleaning the Lucite globe because of its delicate nature. I used a sink sprayer with warm water and an ammonia free cleaner. It gives such a nice glow now.
