Many of you know and love Junebug, who has been part of the Moore Floors family since our business began in 2006. Through the years, he has been a dedicated employee, a loyal friend, and an important part of our success.

Tragically, Junebug, his wife Beverly and their great-grandson Cameron, recently lost their home and all of their belongings in a devastating house fire. The home that Junebug built with his own hands is now gone, and they are facing the difficult task of starting over from scratch.

We are asking our friends, family, customers, and community to come together and help lighten this burden. If you are able, any donation big or small, would be greatly appreciated and will help them begin rebuilding their lives.

Most importantly, please keep Junebug, Beverly, and their family in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Hot take: your kitchen floor works harder than any other floor in your home. 🍳🔥

It sees spills, dropped pans, dragged chairs, and foot traffic from literally everyone in the house, all day, every day. And yet it still needs to look good.

Here are 3 things to prioritize when choosing kitchen flooring:
👟 Comfort underfoot - You stand here for long stretches. Softer materials and cushioned underlayment matter more than people think.

💧 True waterproofing - Water resistant and waterproof are NOT the same thing. Know the difference before you buy.

🧹 Grout line spacing - Smaller grout lines on tile mean fewer crevices for crumbs and grease to hide. Your future self will thank you.

Did you know the direction you install your flooring can change how big or small a room feels? 🤯

- Running planks lengthwise (parallel to the longest wall) makes a room look longer and more open.
- Installing them horizontally across a narrow room can make it feel wider.
- Diagonal installation adds visual interest but uses more material and can increase cost.

It's one of those decisions that feels small but has a huge impact on the finished look. Most people don't even think to ask until after installation, so we're telling you now! 💡
