Did you know whenever you have any sort of stone installed you can (and should!) view the slab and layout before it is cut? We can this stage of the process templating and template viewing and while it is the quickest of the appointments, it is quite possibly the most important. Yet time and time again I see people online (not my clients) upset once their stone is installed because of something that could have been addressed or avoided during this process. Never skip templating. And if your contractor doesn’t mention it, ask.
My friends at always offer template viewing and their software sure has changed over the years. I went on Wednesday to view this beautiful 🥰 Calacatta Viola 🥰 Marble which is being used for a fireplace surround. (She’s also being used for a powder room sink, but that’s another story…)
The process starts by viewing the slab in person one last time. Then Timeless uses special cameras and software to load the slab into the measurements of the space (measurements that were taken on site prior to the visit) where you then get to actually “place” the pieces of the slab where you want them to ensure you get the end result you want.
