Used Anew A supplier of reclaimed wood products, including several types of flooring, easy-to-install wall and Used Anew is a Green Alternative company near Sparta, WI.

We deconstruct unwanted buildings and repurpose the materials to make beautiful products for re-use. Barns, houses, garages, granaries, etc., all yield vintage wood and other materials that we turn into several types of wood flooring, accent wall and ceiling products, furniture and decor. Need a barn beam for a unique rustic mantle? We have hundreds to choose from! We also work with “saved” and sustainably harvested new wood to build “less rustic” cabinets, vanities and the like. Visit our on-site Show Home & Shoppe to see examples of our numerous options installed in the various rooms of the house. Open Thursday - Saturday from 9-4 or "By Appointment" Monday - Wednesday. Nothing formal. Just call ahead to be sure we're available when you'd like to visit.

Our customer from Prairie du Chien, WI, recently installed an accent wall in their home using our Brown & Grey Mix. It's a mixture of reclaimed woods we have milled with tongue & groove to make it easy to install. He says, "I had fun putting it on and am very happy with it."

Just put up a new accent wall in our Show Home & Shoppe.
This is spalted maple, a highly sought after wood for furniture making and other uses. We've acquired a large amount of it and can make wall or ceiling paneling like this. (Come see it in person. The pics don't do it justice!)
We'd also love to make some custom furniture for you using this unique material!
Picture a dining table with turned legs and skirt painted solid white with a spalted maple top. Matching chairs and bench would make an awesome set!

Bob and Karen from La Crosse, WI sent us these photos of the flooring they installed in their cabin near Melrose using our mixed-species “skip planed” flooring.

To achieve the distinctive skip planed appearance, planer knives are set to lightly skim the surface of the reclaimed boards, removing the high spots while preserving portions of the original wood face. This process exposes the rich patina developed over time, resulting in flooring with exceptional character, warmth, and rustic charm.

Another custom staircase crafted from reclaimed wood. The risers and skirts (the wide side boards) are made from our signature Brown Board, while the treads feature our skip-planed reclaimed flooring for added texture and character.

We’re also creating stair treads from rough-sawn planks with a light brown patina for an even more rustic aesthetic.

Speaking of "Naily Wood", this loft facing and the wall below look great with some of our Naily Wood, as well.
Vintage roofing boards are typically hard to work with - different widths, varying thickness, etc. We take the work out of a project using this material by ripping the boards to consistent widths and back-planing to 3/4" thick.
We're all about making reclaimed materials easier to work with!

Here's one of many faux beam mantles we've been making lately. This one is 7" tall and 10" deep. It is made with our very popular "Naily Wood".
"Naily Wood" is our nickname for vintage roof boards that formerly featured wooden shingles, so lots of nail holes and tons of character - and a naturally dark aged patina.
