Bob and Karen from La Crosse, WI sent us these photos of the flooring they installed in their cabin near Melrose using our mixed-species “skip planed” flooring.

To achieve the distinctive skip planed appearance, planer knives are set to lightly skim the surface of the reclaimed boards, removing the high spots while preserving portions of the original wood face. This process exposes the rich patina developed over time, resulting in flooring with exceptional character, warmth, and rustic charm.

Another custom staircase crafted from reclaimed wood. The risers and skirts (the wide side boards) are made from our signature Brown Board, while the treads feature our skip-planed reclaimed flooring for added texture and character.

We’re also creating stair treads from rough-sawn planks with a light brown patina for an even more rustic aesthetic.

Speaking of "Naily Wood", this loft facing and the wall below look great with some of our Naily Wood, as well.
Vintage roofing boards are typically hard to work with - different widths, varying thickness, etc. We take the work out of a project using this material by ripping the boards to consistent widths and back-planing to 3/4" thick.
We're all about making reclaimed materials easier to work with!

We supplied some "skip planed white" reclaimed wood for the ceiling in this Missouri home.
We use new paint on vintage wood, then when milling we set the planer knives to skim the surface to remove a little of the paint to give it this aged look.
It's all 1/2" thick, in 4 widths. Tongue & groove edges make it easy to install and achieves a tight fit with no see-through cracks between boards.
It's actually milled the exact same way as our popular "brown & grey mix" so some folks like to mix a few white boards in with the brown & grey for a unique look.

Sorry it's been so long since we posted! We've been busier than a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs!
Here's a pic of a 10 foot long table top we made for some folks from Eau Claire, WI.
They designed the pub height metal base and had it built by a local fabrication shop while we made the top.
The table top is made from rough sawn reclaimed pine planks, lightly sanded and finished with water-based poly in a satin finish.
Good news! We just acquired a large lot of similar planks, so we're all set to make your new table.

Our customers sent some pics of the kitchen cabinets we made for them recently. These are all made with reclaimed wood for face frames and door and drawer fronts. Insides, drawer boxes and shelves are easy-to-clean cabinet grade plywood. All drawers are full extension (so you don’t lose stuff in the back of the drawer) and doors and drawers are all soft close.
The island features barn wood side panels to create a space for stools on the back side. One of the drawers features wire mesh in the front for produce storage.
