Rainy day sewing kind of day 🌧️🪡

My Fall Festival got postponed, and so did our beach trip next week 🤪 BUT my husband is off work for a whole week and on toddler duty, so I’m taking full advantage and finally digging into this fresh stack of vintage quilts! 🧵

🪡 The Quilt —> The Quilt Coat

This quilt coat is upcycled from a vintage quilt that still proudly wears its original makers name as well as a vintage “Shawnees” wheat sack. Rugged and full of history, it carries the beautiful wear of textiles that spent years feeding families, keeping them warm, and becoming part of everyday life. Every faded mark and worn edge is a piece of that story.
